Our golf courses are among the most beautiful in France

Biarritz Destination Golf groups together the golf courses in the south-west of France: the Landes, Basque Country and Béarn Pyrénées regions, ranked among France’s 50 best 18-hole courses.

Here are the top three.

The score provides a good overall impression of a golf club, as it takes into account all aspects such as the quality of the course, maintenance, the clubhouse and facilities.

In 6th place, the Golf d’Hossegor in the Landes.
Designed by Arnaud Massy and John Morrison in 1927, the Golf d'Hossegor was created in the middle of a forest of pine and cork oak trees, on sandy ground sheltered from the wind. With its typically British layout, fine-tuned by Cabell Robinson, Hossegor ranks among the world’s best golf courses.  This course is open all year round and hosts major tournaments.

In 7th place, the Golf de Biarritz le Phare, in the Basque Country.
It was remodelled in 1920 by HS COLT, and is now an 18-hole course.  Located in the town centre of Biarritz, the Golf de Biarritz le Phare boasts a prestigious setting and is host to numerous international competitions.

In 9th place, the Golf d’Arcangues, in the Basque Country.
This 18-hole course was created by Guy and Jean d’Arcangues on their family estate in the 1990s.  It was designed by the American architect Ronald Fream.
